Nearby is also Hökarfältet's fine exercise facility with both barbecue areas, outdoor gym and sauna. At a convenient distance is Mellbystrand's summer center with several restaurants, small shops and the Strandhotellet. Just south you reach Skummeslövstrand and then the Bjäre Peninsula with all its picturesque summer villages and not least Båstad, the wonderful tennis metropolis. To the north you can easily reach Halmstad with its fantastic beaches in Tylösand, its large range of entertainment and all golf courses. Why not pay a visit to the small town of Laholm with its beautiful location by Lagan. The city has a cozy center with small shops, cafes and restaurants. Here, Lagan winds around the city and there is fine salmon fishing and a smokehouse with a restaurant. In winter, you have Vallåsen's ski resort a short drive away. On Hallandsåsen there are also several wonderful hiking trails. For those interested in golf, there are many golf courses in the area. The closest is Laholms Gk.
